San Keller (*1971) is known for performances that frequently come close to social experiments. His intention is not to prove anything, however. He sees what he does rather as a service that sheds a critical light on traditions and social institutions and so allows them to be experienced anew. Keller plans his performances with great care, but since they rely on the participation of others, he cannot predict either the course they take or the ultimate outcome. The performance that San Keller and the gardener Martin Keller are currently planning for the park of the Museum Rietberg at any rate promises to be a work full of wit and poetry.
